Coast Guard Maritime Intelligence Fusion Center Atlantic changes command

Virginia Beach, Va. -- Capt. Charles (Chip) Camp (Right) assumes command of the Maritime Intelligence Fusion Center (MIFC) Atlantic from Capt. Kevin Lunday in a ceremony held Tuesday, June 7. Portsmouth, Va. – Capt. Charles “Chip” Camp, assumed command of the Coast Guard’s Maritime Intelligence Fusion Center Atlantic (MIFC LANT) in a ceremony Tuesday, at NAS Oceana, Dam Neck Annex in Virginia Beach.

Capt. Camp comes to MIFC LANT from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, where he served as the military assistant to both the Principle Deputy Director of National Intelligence and the Deputy Director of National Intelligence for Intelligence Integration.  Prior to that assignment he served in a variety of operational, training and intelligence positions.

MIFC LANT is responsible for providing timely, actionable intelligence to Coast Guard operational commanders and forces to drive mission execution.  MIFC LANT also participates as part of a Coast Guard Intelligence Enterprise with other intelligence and external partners to support broader Coast Guard, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and national requirements.
