Coast Guard searching for missing Sarasota man
KEY WEST, Fla. — The Coast Guard is searching for a man who went out on his boat Saturday morning and never returned as planned.
Missing is Arend "Arnie" Van Der Hoven, 50, of Sarasota.
The Coast Guard was notified by Blackfin Marina employees that Van Der Hoven left on his 21-foot center console boat from the marina around 8 a.m. and never returned at 2 p.m. as expected.
