Coast Guard Band to perform last summer concert of 2012

NEW LONDON, Conn. — The U.S. Coast Guard Band is scheduled to perform an outdoor concert at Fort Trumbull State Park on Sunday at 3 p.m. 

Cdr. Kenneth Megan will be promoted to captain before the concert and will then lead the band through an exciting performance.

The program consists of jazz pieces by Cy Payne, Nat King Cole, Eden Ahbez, Rutz and Gimble and Kenneth Hesketh. The band will also play pieces from the movies "E.T." and "Indiana Jones" by John Williams and Paul Lavender.
