Coast Guard Air Station Traverse City to host All-Aviation Expo

TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. – Coast Guard Air Station Traverse City is scheduled to host an aviation expo to exhibit demonstrations concerning the sciences and wonders of flight at the Coast Guard hangar on Airport Access Road in Traverse City, Mich., Jan. 12, from 9 a.m. till noon.

The All Aviation Expo is going to be held in partnership with Aviation Explorers Post M-22 of the Greater Traverse area.  

Display exhibits at the expo will include helicopters, airplanes, glider soaring, skydiving, hang gliding, ultralights, hot air ballooning, kite skiing, paragliding, model aircrafts, unmanned aerial vehicles, rocketry and more.

All are welcome to this free event, particularly families with children between the ages of 13 and 20. Registration is required as spaces are limited and can be completed online at http://www.234.eaachapter.org/attendaviaitionexpo.htm.

The national Aviation Explorers program is a division of the Boy Scouts of America. The program is led locally by senior volunteers of remarkable backgrounds in aerospace, aeronautics, automotive engineering, military, experimental aircraft, education and more. Its purpose is to elevate technical interests and capabilities in young Americans.
