Coast Guard Commandant to deliver State of the Coast Guard Address

WASHINGTON – Coast Guard Commandant Adm. Bob Papp will deliver the 2011 State of the Coast Guard Address Thursday in the Capital Ballroom of The Bolling Club at Joint Base Bolling-Anacostia (formerly Bolling Air Force Base) starting at 12:45 p.m.  Papp will also participate in a media roundtable in The Bolling Club following the address at 2 p.m.

WHO:        Adm. Bob Papp, commandant, U.S. Coast Guard

WHAT:      The State of the Coast Guard Address. This will be the first annual speech delivered by the current commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard to provide a current overview of the service and to outline his priorities for the years ahead. 

WHEN:      The address will begin at 12:45 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011.  Media should plan to arrive at Bolling no later than 11:45 a.m.

WHERE:   The Bolling Club, 50 Theisen Street, SW

               Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (Formerly Bolling Air Force Base)

Media will have designated parking near The Bolling Club. Space is limited and will be provided on a first-come first-served basis.  Media should plan to arrive at the Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling front gate no later than 11:45 a.m. to be parked and in the club on time.

Limited riser space will be available on a first-come first-served basis. A mult box will be available as no microphones will be allowed on the podium.
