WASHINGTON — The U.S. Coast Guard announced Wednesday that its new Maritime Safety and Security Customer Survey has been available online since Feb. 13.
According to Rear Adm. James Watson, Director of Prevention Policy, the survey further builds on the U.S. Coast Guard's efforts to improve communications with the maritime public by ensuring the needs of customers and stakeholders are considered. Watson also said that having the Coast Guard properly aligned with the end user is central to improving the Coast Guard's service to the marine industry.
The survey covers topics including: professionalism, regulatory stewardship, customer support, and the customer's perceptions of the safety, security, and cleanliness of ports and waterways. While the survey is anonymous, it allows customers to request contact with a U.S. Coast Guard representative for follow up. The survey is available at http://homeport.uscg.mil/maritimesurvey.
