Chertoff, Ridge to participate in military Change of Watch Washington, D.C. - A ceremony formally recognizing the transfer of authority as the U.S. Coast Guard's service secretary from Tom Ridge to Michael Chertoff will be held Friday at Fort McNair from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Media interested in attending the ceremony must RSVP to Lt. Ron Mench at (202) 267-0932 no later than noon Thursday. Media will be required to gather at Coast Guard Headquarters, 2100 2nd St. Washington D.C., no later than 9:15 a.m. Friday for escort onto Fort McNair and to show their drivers license at the gate.
