Oh, how I do love a good update post \u2013 not just on my own blog (seriously, I don\u2019t have the most exciting life but I just love doing these posts) but I\u2019m all over life updates from my favourite bloggers too. I\u2019ve been pretty busy lately, which may come as a surprise to some \u2013 so let me fill you in\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. The Album Launch<\/strong>
    You guys will probably already know that Jordan\u2019s band (Flood of Red) released their second album \u2018Throw\u2019 last week, it\u2019s been pretty exciting as all the reviews etc. come in and I am loving the finished result. Is it too much to say that I\u2019ve been playing it constantly? Who cares. I went down to London last Monday for the album launch party which was just a small private thaang that their label put on in Camden. That was the day of the launch so it was really fun! Here\u2019s the iTunes link if you fancy having a listen, I think my favourite songs are Hiding Out and Lashes right now.
    It\u2019s nice to see all their hard work from the last few years come together!<\/li>
  2. London<\/strong>
    I decided to stay in London for a few days (which then turned in to a week and a half) to get some things done and hang out with my homies. I saw SO many people, I was actually really pleased that I got to see so many of my favourites. I mostly had work stuff going on, but I managed to fit in a little bit of shopping, a night out with Meg & Janna, a breakfast with Toni & Guy + Lily & Emma, a trip to & Other Stories (managed to leave with nothing, go me), a whole lotta breakfast dates and even cocktails and guacamole with Anna\u2026 plus so much more!
    The whole trip was super fun, and hopefully I\u2019ll be back down in no time.<\/li>
  3. Flat Updates<\/strong>
    So, as I\u2019ve already said (I think?) we\u2019ve been living out of the living room of our new-ish flat for some time now because a wall needs replastered and I was waiting for my mum to come and do it. They\u2019ve been pretty busy with the selling of their own house though so I\u2019ve actually called someone in to do it. I was really hesitant because we have this incredible ornate coving around the top of the walls, where it meets the ceiling, and I was worried that the plasterer would ruin it. I\u2019m going to take a chance and pray that it doesn\u2019t get ruined and hopefully soon we should have a fully functioning bedroom! I am overly excited about this.
    I think after that, I might get the kitchen retiled with dark grey grout (black might be too bold, says my mum) but this isn\u2019t a priority and could end up being quite pricey so we\u2019ll see. I\u2019d also like to stain the wooden floors in the living room a nice chocolate brown, but it seems a big job! I\u2019m trying to do everything slowly and make sure I get it right first time, not just with DIY but with furniture too. More so I don\u2019t notice the cost too much either\u2026<\/li>
  4. Fitness<\/strong>
    I joined the gym today in a bid to get a bit more toned. I\u2019m not really sure how I feel about the gym, I find the whole thing really boring. It\u2019s kind of like school, you\u2019re forever watching the clock. I\u2019m determined to stick at it, though \u2013 I\u2019ve realised that I\u2019m total quitter at things like this. I prefer to do my exercise without thinking \u2013 walking everywhere and having a regular cycle \u2013 but it\u2019s just not cutting it these days. Here\u2019s hoping I find a way to make it a little more thrilling.<\/li>
  5. Everything Else<\/strong>
    I\u2019m trying to find the time to squeeze in more DIY bits and pieces, as well as more fun things for Nouvelle. I hope you\u2019ve all been enjoying the posts going up over there, we have such a great team!
    In other news, we almost, almost got another kitten the other day \u2013 I was nearly crying watching them all play together and I had to really force myself to walk away and leave them behind. Mouse is enough work at the moment so I don\u2019t think it\u2019s the time to get another cat. Sad times!<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
