I like a bit of variety on this blog, so every once in a while I introduce a few products that didn\u2019t really leave me feeling so impressed. Sometimes products just don\u2019t make the cut \u2013 either because they don\u2019t work with my skin type\/tone, I thought they would work better or I just didn\u2019t really find a need for them\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
First up, HealGel Intensive (\u00a337.50) <\/strong>\u2013 I had heard SO much about this by the time I bought it, so many people swear by this stuff so I was eager to give it a go. It\u2019s a serum that helps to repair the skin, helping it to retain moisture better and really improve the overall look and feel of the complexion. I guess I must have seen a slight difference at first, because I do remember liking this when I first got it, but after a few weeks I didn\u2019t really see much of a difference. I gave it a chance but it didn\u2019t work nearly as well as other products I have.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I had a similar experience with the MAC Penultimate Eye Liner (\u00a317.50)<\/strong>, I liked this at first as the fine nib meant you could really tight line the eyes. I found that it dried it really quickly, and basically became unusable within a few weeks or so. Great design, but the formula needs a little work, unfortunately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Also here is the MaxFactor CC Corrector Redness (\u00a38.99)<\/strong>, as someone who suffers a bit with redness, I really wanted to love this. It seemed amazing and just what I was after, but I really didn\u2019t like the texture. It\u2019s quite thick and waxy, and blending was almost impossible. You could see residue on the skin and so it wasn\u2019t something I was rushing to pick up again. A shame really, as something like this would go down a treat in my routine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Finally, the No7 Make Up Brush Cleaner (\u00a38)<\/strong> \u2013 I liked this product all in all, but I just prefer deep cleaning brushes. I think this is more for quick cleaning between washes, so it was a bit of a waste for me. It worked ok on eyeshadow brushes, but it was pointless on foundation brushes etc. \u2013 I used to use loads of the fluid to wash one brush too, so it was almost money down the drain.
