We all have those special occasions(and sometimes not so special), where we want to look a little skinnier. Every time we have a dinner with my husband’s company, I’m fishing out my shapewear to hopefully look a little smaller and be able to pull off outfits that I normally couldn’t. My biggest “area of concern” is my stomach. I need to work on getting it flatter, but in the meantime, I can count on shapewear. I was thrilled to try this one because the back doesn’t go up as high as some of my other “body shaper” tops. The straps are very thin and I would be able to wear it with all of my tops.

I looked at the size chart and asked for the size it said I needed. When it arrived, I was thinking it looked a little small, and when I put it on, my fear was confirmed. It was definitely tighter than I felt was comfortable and don’t see myself wearing it often. I know that the point of shapewear is to hold it all in, but I felt a little too constricted. I wish I would have asked for a size larger, but then I’m not sure if that would have been too big. I am on a mission to lose a few pounds, so maybe when I reach my goal, this will fit a little better.

As mentioned above, I love the fact that the back doesn’t go way up. This would also be a great piece for breastfeeding moms because there is easy access to nursing bras since the top cuts off below the bra. Most of my other shapewear items tend to slide up, which totally defeats the purpose, but this snaps at the crotch so everything stays in place. The lace also adds a great touch and makes me feel a little sexier.
