VeggieTales: It’s a Meaningful Life Review + Giveaway

I think one of the biggest lessons in life is that life doesn’t usually turn out the way we thought it would. VeggieTales: It’s a Meaningful Life is a movie full of lessons about how God always has a plan for us-even if it isn’t what we wanted.

Synopsis:

It was the biggest football game of his life and Stewart (Larry the Cucumber) had a chance to win it all. Injured in one bad play, his hopes of playing in the Salad Bowl – and living a life of fame and fortune – are dashed forever. Years later, silly-but-sweet Stewart loves his family, friends and job at the toy train factory, but still wonders “what if” things had been different. When he meets a mysterious train conductor who can turn back time, Stewart gets a chance to have the life he always wanted. Will he finally find all he’s been looking for? And what does this mean for those he loves most? Find out in this story of wonder that’s a lesson in being content.

Our Thoughts:

This is a cute little spin off of “Its A Wonderful Life”, and like all other VeggieTales movies, it teaches values in simple ways for young children to understand. The main character learns that even though things did go as he had planned, God had a greater plan for him.

Evan thoroughly enjoyed dancing around to the songs and I’m sure he’ll have them all memorized shortly. While I enjoy the fun spin offs on these older movies, I do miss the bible stories that I was relying on VeggieTales to help me teach my kids.
