Everyday Beauty Staples.

Everyday Beauty Staples.

These ‘everyday beauty’ roundups are some of my favourites to do, and I really missed doing them on my channel so I thought it was time to bring back the series. It gives me a chance to show you what I use daily, even the not-so-cute products such as shampoo and mouthwash…

I usually reach for the Sachajuan Volume Shampoo (£18) as my everyday hair pick, I love this as it’s super cleansing but with a touch of added texture and volume. The brand infuse all of their products with their own Ocean Silk Technology, a blend of minerals and algae that soften and add a tonne of shine to the hair. Swishy locks in no time!

Another everyday product for me is the Lush Popcorn Lip Scrub (£5.50), I often forget to mention this as it’s sort of one of those products that doesn’t really have a place in most posts. I have the driest lips ever, so I need a lot of exfoliation – this tasty concoction really polishes and nourishes, and you can lick the salted caramel goodness off afterwards…

My cleanser of choice is usually the NUDE Perfect Cleanse Omega Cleansing Jelly (£32), a product I find works wonders both morning and night. It makes the evening cleanse a seriously quick process, but it also softens and purifies my skin come morning too. I love massaging this in as part of my morning routine.

Also a staple in my morning routine is the CB12 Mint-Menthol Mouthwash* (£14.59), a fresh everyday product that is perfect for keeping teeth clean and your breath minty fresh. I usually find mouthwash too harsh to use, despite knowing how important it is – I’m slightly obsessed with looking after my teeth! – but this is much more mild and ideal for twice-daily use. It doesn’t feel like you’re gargling with acid, and both the breath and mouth feel fresh for the day.

It’s slightly expensive for an everyday product, but I tell myself that I would easily spend double on a good moisturiser, so why shouldn’t my mouth get the same treatment? You can’t put a price on oral hygiene, people!

A newish addition to my routine is the Aesop Fabulous Face Oil (£40) – I won’t go in to too much detail here as I feel like I talk about this stuff nonstop, but just know it’s amazing! I pair it up with the Nourish Illuminating Face Shimmer (£16) in the mornings and my skin looks soft and freshly hydrated. They make a lovely little duo.

As for makeup, I love the Jouer Luminising Moisture Tint (£30) for everyday wear. I recently rediscovered this while clearing out my makeup and I couldn’t believe I had ever forgotten about it – talk about spring skin in a bottle! It’s perfecting without being heavy or cakey, and it works brilliantly with my much loved Benefit Erase Paste (£20.50).

I tend to reach for the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow (£55) if I’m off out somewhere special, the creamy formula perks up my skin and adds a touch of natural colour. This is the cream formula which is released in July, but I know the powder version in the main collection is meant to be just as mesmerising.

Finally, a spritz of Jo Malone Peony & Blush Suede (£40) and a slick of YSL Gloss Volupte in 20 (£22) and I’m good to go. I think we can all agree that Peony & Blush Suede is the perfect choice for spring, it’s such a delicate scent that brightens my mornings. Despite not being a huge lipgloss girl, I adore this YSL gloss – it’s incredibly plumping and the soft nude goes with everything. Lovely!
