My recent New York trip saw me fall in love with haircare brand Drybar; a line of hair products from a salon specialising in blowouts. As someone who will do pretty much anything to get voluminous locks, I practically snapped up the whole range!
I’ll start with the product I bought first; the Mai Tai Spritzer Sea Salt Spray. It’s no secret that I abuse salt sprays on the regular, I go through bottles of the stuff as it’s the easiest way to inject body, wave and texture in to my hair. I’m always on the lookout for new variations to try, and something about the chic, pastel packaging of the Mai Tai Spritzer stood out to me. I snapped it up, and never looked back! This stuff manages to bring my hair to life, adding some serious body and a touch of non-crispy wave, and I haven’t even noticed it drying out my hair either. It’s pretty much amazing.
From then on, whenever I stumbled across another Sephora store, I added another product to my collection. Next up was the 100 Proof Treatment Oil, a product I bought to soothe and save my dry ends. I’ve been trialling quite a few ‘split-end savers’ in recent weeks, and this is one I can really get behind. I’m used to hair oils weighing down my fine hair, or worse – leaving it looking super greasy and full of product. This oil is super light, capable of smoothing flyaways and frizz, while also quenching dry ends. I use it daily and it’s doing wonders for my locks in the long run.
Finally, the game-changer. Drybar Gold Mine Shimmering Leave-In Conditioner – yup, that’s a thing. I was in awe when I finally spotted this stuff, it’s basically an illuminator for the hair! I always use leave-in conditioner as it’s a great product for really softening and saving hair in need. This is infused with a fine gold glitter – I apply it to damp hair, just one small pump (usually mixed in with a pump of the oil) applied to the mid-lengths and ends of my hair results in a subtle shimmer and an all-round glossy finish.
I can’t believe I haven’t come across anything like this previously, it’s mesmerising!
I haven’t seen Drybar in the UK before, but it seems Sephora delivers to the brand to the UK so be sure to snap up a product or two! I’m already wishing I had bought more…
