Looking For Hairspiration.

LOOKING FOR HAIRSPIRATION.

A trip to the hairdressers requires a bit of research and pre-planning, I tend to search the internet looking for inspiration for a new ‘do. I like to be prepped with at least a photo when I head in, probably because I’m horrendous at describing anything…

Usually I head straight for the hair boards on Pinterest, searching through my own and any other pins I can find until I have an idea of what I want, and then go from there. As you’ll know, my hair has been many, many colours, lengths and styles over the years so I’m really no stranger to a switch up! In the last year alone I’ve gone from having long flowing blonde locks to a short dark cut. I’m now somewhere in-between I suppose, it sits just below my shoulders and is an ashy medium brown – my ‘normal’ shade – I think I’m ready for a change!

I’ve been following the amazing Kristin Ess on Instagram for some time now; she’s an incredible hairstylist and hairdresser to my one true love Lauren Conrad, as well as many other celebs, and the co-founder of the amazing Beauty Department. Her feed is full of beautiful pictures, heart-eyed inducing hair and lots and lots of inspiration for my next cut! I basically stockpiled a stash to show to my hairdresser, screenshotting every snap and tucking them away ready for my appointment.

The top photo is how I want my hair; I love how full it looks, and I have a similar fringe so I think it’s easy to achieve. I really like the slightly lighter ends but I’m not sure if I would do it – it seems to add so much to the look so maybe I would consider going for a warmer colour at the tips. I’m in the process of growing out my fringe so eventually I want a long bob that’s all one length. The photo of Lauren in the blue top is just perfect, although I do like it slightly shorter too. I can’t wait to have hair that is all one length – here’s hoping I don’t relapse and cut my fringe again! Must. stay. strong.

Where do you head for hair inspiration?
