5 Things Glitter Polishes I Love.

5 THINGS GLITTER POLISHES I LOVE.

Oh baby. It’s officially time to shamelessly crack out those glitter polishes. I tend to stock up on the shimmery hues come Christmas (yeah, getting a bit ahead of myself there – I blame the Christmas socks I’m currently sporting) as I love injecting a bit of sparkle in to my mani. Nothing wrong with that, I say.

Butter London Nail Polish in Marbs (£12) is the shade your collection has been missing; this luxe gold hue is made up of a fine shimmer, meaning it looks opaque with even one coat (though I recommend applying two). It’s mesmerising on the nails and looks perfect alone or as an accent colour on one finger – I tend to pair it with a lovely deep berry shade for maximum impact. One to put on the Christmas wishlist I should think.

So naturally, every other shade here is an Essie number. I love Essie polishes more than anything, and they’re really the only ones I regularly buy. I have four favourite glitters from the brand…

Toggle To The Top: this is that gorgeous red glitter at the top there. I absolutely love this colour, it looks perfect throughout the month of December (when it becomes acceptable to dress as a Christmas decoration) and I tend to sweep it on every nail because I’m a glitter maniac. The flecks of red shimmer are suspended in a rich red polish so you really get a lovely opaque polish that can be worn alone. ME LOVE.

Set In Stones: this is the chunky silver polish at the bottom there, it’s a lovely option as a top coat and I tend to apply it on an accent finger over a dark polish. It’s not opaque enough to be used alone, but it’s still a must have in my book. The glitter flecks are different sizes so the result is always super lovely, a bit like a snowflake. Kind of.

Beyond Cozy: another silver glitter, Beyond Cozy is much finer than the aforementioned Set In Stones. This is very much like the silver version of the Butter polish – you can wear it alone if you so wish, it’s really opaque and produces such a brilliant result. I love how shimmery and eye-catching it is – expect compliments.

Summit Of Style: my newest Essie polish, Summit of Style, is pretty much the gold version of Set In Stones. See, two opaque gold & silver glitters and two more top coat-esque glitters. I R SMART. I love the colour of this, it’s almost a bit brassy and it looks like gold leaf when applied. I’m thinking of going for a glitter ombre tip with it, over a dark inky blue. Ooh.

So, I’m glitter obsessed. Have you tried any of these?
