I am always trying to find different ways to make learning fun. I work with my kids to reinforce their colors, shapes, numbers, and letters, but I have to make it a game for them to really pay attention. Thanks to Smarks – The World’s Smartest Building Blocks, I don’t have to try very hard. They sent me a set of all of their products.
Combine creativity and learning with talking kids building blocks. Smarcks recognize and remember the blocks they are stacked on and teach about colors, counting, spelling, shapes, nursery rhymes, music, math, and even good manners. There are 7 Smarcks kids building block sets.
The tops of the blocks are different so that the talking blocks recognize them.

When we’re done playing, all of the blocks fit back in the tub. If you’re a parent, you know how appealing this feature is. I’m so tired of toys that come with a million pieces and no container to put them in.

As you can see in the first picture, there are several different types of “Smarks” AKA Smart Talking Blocks. Some of the Smarcks such as the color ones are easy to use and you simply place them on another block to hear them talk. Others such as the Music Blocks and Monkey Math Blocks only work when placed on certain blocks. The Nursery Rhyme Blocks also contain puzzles but overall are easy to use even if you never figure out the puzzle. They have a builder guide to help you figure out the ones that require completing the puzzles.

Our Thoughts:
The blocks are a lot of fun and help me make learning a game. Evan already knows his colors and things, but he likes “teaching” Isabella with the color blocks. Having the blocks talk are just a plus to the fact that he loves to make “towers” with them.

Isabella has never really expressed an interest in building with blocks before we got this set of Smarcks. She gets so excited when she makes the blocks talk. She quickly learned that she can press the buttons under the “special blocks” to make them talk. Some of them actually have a “ticklish spot” and will giggle if you press the right button.

As a mom, I am really impressed with these blocks. We have spent a lot of time playing with the Smarcks and they are always doing something that I didn’t expect. This is a toy that they can play with together. It makes my heart smile to see Evan trying to “teach” Isabella and listening to them sing along with the blocks. Each of the blocks that talk already come with the batteries and a set of directions on the back of the pack. Even though most are easy to play with, it is nice to have the directions for the ones that require a special puzzle to work properly. Since there are different “levels” of blocks, these are a grow-with-me type of toy that will entertain and teach my kids for many years.
