I’m usually not so great at planning ahead for mealtimes. I end up throwing something together at the last minute and wishing that my oven would cook faster. When I discovered the NuWave Oven, I couldn’t believe I didn’t already have one. It cooks up to 50% faster and uses up to 85% less energy energy than a conventional oven.

I was sent the NuWave Oven Pro and the Extender Ring Kit. The Extender Ring Kit includes a 3″ extender ring, a 10″ non stick baking pan and a 2″ cooking rack. The Extender Ring Kit increases the capacity of the oven by up to 50%, allowing it to cook up to a 16 lb turkey or a 14 lb ham. The 2 inch rack can be used on top of or below the 4 inch rack that comes with the oven. It allows you to do things like cook steaks on one layer and cook vegetables on another layer, saving both time and cleanup. I plan on purchasing addition 2 inch racks because you can use up to 2 extra ones which is especially perfect for dehydrating food.

It also came with a small cookbook,a stack of recipe cards, and an instructional video to give me and idea of the amazing things the NuWave Oven can do. There is also a chart which explains how long each type of food will take to cook. The chart shows cook time for fresh or frozen food.

I decided to make stuffed chicken for our first NuWave meal. When I read that it would only take 19 minutes(in comparison to the 40 minutes it takes in my regular oven), I was in shock. Much to my amazement, the chicken started to turn white after just a few minutes. I placed some of the stuffing on top of the chicken which got a little more done than I would have liked, so next time I will put aluminum foil over it to prevent that. In this picture you can also see the fat and grease that cooked off to the tray below, making the meal more healthy than if I would have cooked it in my oven.

My husband and I were thrilled with how perfect the chicken was cooked! It was extremely moist and tasted fantastic – and it only took 19 minutes!!!

Here is a quick explanation of all the NuWave Oven parts. One of my favorite features is that all of the parts(except the Power Head) is dishwasher safe – again, making clean-up a breeze!
