As my family continues to grow, my kitchen products have gotten larger. I once used all of my smallest appliances and I’ve found myself upgrading to products that could do bigger jobs. My old slow cooker was only 4qt and was very basic. With three small children, using a slow cooker is the way to go and I needed an upgrade. Ninja sent me their new Cooking System.
Steam-Infused Roasting and Baking – Revolutionary steam roasting and baking provides quicker cooking, plus healthier and moister results. Steam-infused roasting cooks meat evenly and cuts the cooking time by up to 30 percent, keeping more natural juices in the meat while taking the bad fat out. Baked goods are more moist too, and can be prepared with up to 50 percent less fat.
Fast One-Pot Meal Making – With Triple Fusion Heat, complete meals can be made in just one single pot. Home cooks can layer meals by cooking dry pasta, veggies and meats all at the same time in the Ninja 3-in-1 Cooking System. Meats cook more evenly and casseroles have a savory and crispy finish, with more crunch on the bottom and sides. Frozen seafood and other frozen items can even be prepared in 30 minutes.
SEAR-ious Slow Cooking – The Ninja Cooking System has both stovetop settings and slow cook settings which allows the home cook to use the same pot to sear and brown meats and vegetables to add more flavor to the meal. The stovetop can be used after slow cooking to deglaze sauces, and to add delicate vegetables for a perfect texture. The slow-cooker is programmable; allowing you to set the cooking time, which will automatically keep warm once cooking is complete.
As you can see above, the Ninja Cooking System is so much more than a crock pot. I have often had to sear my meat before putting it in the slow cooker and now I can do it all in one pot with the Cooking System. There are several great recipes that come with it, but I did my potato soup to test it out the first time. I threw in my chopped potatoes, corn, and chicken broth.

As you can see below, you have a few option. The first knob can be turned to high, low, or buffet on the slow cooker side. Alternately, you can use it as a stove top and have the heat on high, medium, or low. I used the slow cooker at high, so it automatically started a timer at 4 hours.

The size is perfect for my family and larger than my old one. Once we were ready, I put the top on and let it go until it was almost done and I then stirred in some whipping cream to finish it.

The Ninja Cooking System has been a fantastic addition to my kitchen and it has given me a great excuse to make more slow cooker meals. The slow cooker makes life with three children much easier. I can simply throw the ingredients in and let them cook while I’m busy being mom.
