KeeKee the Rocking Monkey & Spot It! Games + Giveaway

We like to sit down as a family to play games. Blue Orange Games sent us a few new games for our family to test. Among the many games that Blue Orange Games offers, Spot It! is one of the most popular. They have a Spot It Junior for younger children because Spot It original is for ages 7+. I’m glad I chose the original version, though. Our entire family enjoys this game!!

The goal of the game is collect the most cards by identifying a matching picture on your card and the card on the draw pile. There are instructions for other games to play with the cards, as well, so it’s a great party game.

Granted, my 3 year old doesn’t do great at the speed, but I can play it with her slowly and help her identify the matches. I’m amazed at how fast she is after playing it for a couple weeks! I love any game that also helps my 3, 4, and 7 year olds get along!

My 3 year old, Eden, recently said she was sad that Avi (7) gets most of the games, so this next game is specifically for Eden. KeeKee the Rocking Monkey is perfect for pre-school age youngsters. This all wooden game improves dexterity and teaches the concepts of balance.

The game come with wooden spheres that you carefully place on KeeKee and hope he doesn’t fall over!

Ball® FreshTECH Automatic Jam & Jelly Maker + Giveaway {99.99 ARV}

I love summer and the abundance of fresh fruits and veggies that we grow for our family. Ball brand canning products sent us the FreshTECH Automatic Jam & Jelly Maker so that we could preserve some of our fruits to use all year. The FreshTECH Automatic Jam and Jelly Maker allows consumers to create fresh jams and jellies in under 30 minutes with the push of a button – when it would normally take an hour on the stove top.

There are many times when I don’t have a huge amount of berries or peaches, but I still don’t want them to go bad. The Automatic Jam and Jelly Maker makes canning them so easy. I used peaches the first time. I simply sprinkled the pectin around the bottom.

I then added the peaches that I had chopped and mashed. Next, all I had to do was pus the jam button and enter. It immediately started mixing itself.

After a few minutes, it beeped to let me know it was time to put in the sugar, which I slowly added as it continued to stir.

After that, I put the top back on until it beeped again letting me know it was done. I transferred the peaches into hot Ball jars. The instructions have three ways to can and I picked two. I decided to put one jar in the refrigerator so that we could enjoy it right away, and I put the two other jars in freezer so they will be good for a year. I didn’t do the traditional hot water bath so that I could put them in the cabinet this time.

We eat a lot of jam and jelly, so this has really come in handy for all of our extra fruits. All I have to do is chop them, and the Automatic Jam & Jelly Maker takes care of the rest!
