Evan was an awful sleeper as an infant. He would wake up at least every two hours and I would have to rock/feed him forever before he’d fall back asleep. I remembered that a friend had bought him a soother for his crib and decided to try that. When he cried, I would go in there, turn it on and he would go right back to sleep. At 3 years old, he still sleeps with that thing beside him in bed, but I’m OK with that!
When Isabella was born, I wanted her to have a soother too, but the one she got had a really loud motor and you heard it over the singing. She has always been a great sleeper, but has her nights where she will occasionally wake up and want to be up forever. The infantino FireFly Soother helps her go right back to sleep.

Soothing sounds and glowing bugs make this the perfect crib companion to help your little bug drift away to night-night.
Seriously, how cute are these little bugs? And the design makes it where they look as if they’re in a jar! In addition to being absolutely adorable, their wings also move. Isabella was so excited when the box arrived.

Luckily for me, it arrived right as I was making dinner and kept them entertained.

The motor is a audible when the fireflies move, but if you want, you can make it where they just light up and sing instead of moving as well. Up top is the sound button, the music/light/movement button, and the type of music that you want to hear.

After I realized that there was a “try me” and “play” switch, I moved it to play and it goes for quite some time!

For parents or baby to turn on, simply press the big green button. Babies amazingly learn to do this at a very young age.

I also like that it was so easy to attach to the crib. Some have several straps and you have to get them in the holes just right. My only issue is that the top of the back doesn’t fit flush with the crib and Isabella scratches her crib when she hits it too hard. The top lip fits flush, but I can’t get it tight enough so that the back of the soother fits against the rails without moving(and scratching my crib) when you push the button too hard.

A FireFly Soother would make an awesome gift for anyone that is expecting or has a small baby. I know that all kids are different, but all of the babies I know enjoy their soother. It also usually means more sleep for mommy.
