Pledge Ambassador FloorCare Wood Products Follow-up + Giveaway

I participated in an Ambassador Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Pledge. I received a product samples to facilitate my review and promotional item as a thank you for participating.

I have been using the Pledge FloorCare Wood Line for several weeks now so that I could write a follow-up on how the products were working for us. In my first post, I told you that we remodeled our house last year and put down new hardwood floors in a large part of our house. The first FloorCare product I tried was the Wood Spray Cleaner. This seems to be the easiest for me when kids track in dirt or spill food. Simply spray and wipe, then it is dry in a matter of minutes. I used a damp white paper towel to wipe the first time. There was this much dirt in a fairly small space even though my husband is obsessive about cleaning the floors.

What I really love about this line is the smell – or lack of. I have issues with strong smells and don’t use candles, sprays, or even perfume. The Wood FloorCare line has a very light soap smell – no chemical overload here. Along with the Wood Spray Cleaner, I tend to use the Squirt and mop a good deal. You squirt it directly from the bottle with no diluting and wipe over it with a well wrung-out mop. As a mom of 3 small children, I don’t have time to clean my floors and go back over it again with water. I also need products that will dry quickly. Nothing in this line takes long to dry.

I rarely use the Concentrated cleaner, because the ones that you simply squirt from the bottle are easier for a busy mom. Once I clean the floors with the squirt or spray cleaners and let them dry, I use the Wood Finish. It provides a little extra shine and helps prevent dirt from getting trapped in floor grooves to make cleaning easier. This takes more like 20 minutes to fully dry. Remember these scratches from my first post? That is the before picture that looks a little lighter. I had a hard time finding the scratches to take a picture this time! You can still see that straight one, but the squiggly ones are hard to see. The floor near my door looks so much better.

If you have hardwood floors, the Pledge FloorCare wood products would be great for getting your house ready for the holidays. Visit Pledge to learn more about the line and to view their other products.
