My family welcomed our fifth baby only 8 days ago, and I can say I’m far less maintenance than I was with my first baby seven years ago – ok, well, less maintenance in the baby gear I require, at least! I’ve learned babies tend to be fairly content without all the bouncy seats, swings, bassinets, pack-n-plays strewn through the house. I have just about everything still packed up EXCEPT the new 3-in-1 Rocker Napper by Tiny Love.
I received the package in the mail a few weeks before the baby was born. Not much is easy to do at 38 weeks preggo (yes, I still had just over 3 weeks to go at that point … she made us wait). And, I confess that I’m not usually very good at anything requiring an instruction manual. I was a bit daunted at all the parts, but the instruction manual was very easy to follow.

All the parts went together very easily, and I didn’t even have to undo any steps! Celebrate the little victories. There is one step which requires a very small screwdriver, so be prepared and have one close by. I had the entire product assembled in less than 15 minutes.

I chose the red Rocker Napper, but it also comes in a more muted brown/cream, both of which are gender neutral. The cushion is very soft and plush, and our little one, Adalee, loves it!

I do like that it easily changes between the 3 positions (flat to 2 reclining positions) with only one hand. Also, because it’s close to the ground similar to a bouncy seat, I can easily keep an eye on her to see if she is awake or sleeping. This brings me to another point …
I was concerned about my 21 month old bothering the baby because it is so low and within her reach. While she does like to “pet” the new baby, I also found she liked to rock the baby … rapidly! This was easily remedied by moving the stabilizer bars at either end of the rocker into the locked position so it is stable. Problem solved.
It comes with a mobile that can swing out of the way if you’re not using it. It plays music and has a couple of cute, detachable dangling toys. Now I just have to teach my 21 month old to stop detaching those adorable toys!

The 3-in-1 Rocker Napper holds up to 40 pounds, so no worries if your toddler decides to take it for a spin.

And in spite of its strength and durability, it weighs very little and is easily transported from room to room even with the baby in it. I’m not sure I would have paid the price initially, but I can say this product would carry you further than most bouncy seats or swings due to the higher weight capacity and different reclining positions. Most bouncy seats and swings have a 25 pound weight limit. Given that the nicer swings can cost up to $180 for standard brands, the 3-in-1 Rocker Napper is a pretty good deal at $99.99. I’m sure we’ll be using ours for many months to come.
