If you haven’t been around, we spent all last summer remodeling our “new” house. We got it to the point where we could move in and have been doing a little here and there. We have all of the major renovations behind us, so now we get to focus on decorating. I’ve often thought about a bunk bed for Evan’s room(5 years old), so I felt it was perfect timing when Stork Craft mentioned Bunk Beds. They sent us the the Long Horn Twin Over Twin Bunk Bed in Navy Blue.

The bunk bed arrived in two large boxes filled with parts. My husband rocks and put this together all by himself in about 1 1/2 hours. I had to help him put the top bed on, but it can be a one man job other than that part.

Everything went very smoothly and we feel that the quality was pretty good. The beds are very sturdy and I love the fact that we can take it apart into two separate beds if we want to one day.

Isabella has been spending the night in Evan’s room when he doesn’t have school the next day. The box spring from his old bed takes up too much room under the mattress, so we put it in Isabella’s trundle bed for now. We stole her extra mattress from the bottom of her trundle until we get another one for the bunk bed.

The only issue I’ve noticed is this one spot where the blue wasn’t sprayed evenly. It isn’t a huge deal and I didn’t notice it until I was inspecting closely.

We wanted to get this post up as soon as possible so that you could have your chance to win, but I plan on decorating his room in the next two weeks and will update the post when we’re done. I have to buy new bedding eventually since I only have one set of the car comforter that he has now! Excuse the windows in the picture, we didn’t paint the insides because they are being replaced.

Evan loves his bed so much. He tells everyone that cares to listen that he has a new bunk bed and he sleeps on the top!

Visit Stork Craft to learn more about both styles of their bunk beds and to view all of their other furniture and toys. We own one of their gliders and changing tables that we use often.
