The Budget Brow Wiz.

THE BUDGET BROW WIZ.

While I don’t mind paying the money for a good quality beauty product, there’s nothing like finding a budget alternative that you can buy on the high street. My latest find is an affordable brow pencil that really compares to my all time favourite brow product, Anastasia Brow Wiz (£15.50). I’ve been through two of the Brow Wiz offerings now and although I do think it’s reasonably priced, I held off on buying another. It was hard at first but upon finding this more reasonably priced version, I haven’t really missed it.

The budget buy in question is the new Eylure Brow Crayon (£6.45) – a soft pencil that allows you to define the brows while still ensuring they look like… brows. I’m not much of a pencil fan, I prefer these easy to use crayons as I think they create better hair-like strokes. This crayon is actually thicker than Brow Wiz, but there’s a sharpener on the bottom of the pencil so you can keep the nib just right. I miss having a spoolie on the end, but the sharpener does come in handy and well, you can’t have it all!

My brows naturally are an ok shape, they just need more definition around the arch and also to be plumped up a little so I find that this does the job without a problem. The colour is perfect too, I have Mid Brown which is ideal for me but I can understand that some may feel that the three shades (Blonde, Mid Brown and Dark Brown) may not be ideal, but I wouldn’t think it would be a massive deal as you’re only making the brows look fuller, after all.

This is probably best for those who wish to fill out their brows and add a little to the shape – it’s quite a subtle yet buildable result. If you had very sparse or thin brows, I would probably recommend a cream or powder/wax product over this if I’m honest.

The crayon is less than half the price of my beloved Brow Wiz, and it does pretty much the same job! I do wish it was a little thinner and not so soft, but I can’t really fault the result – and I can run to Boots when I need another!

Have you tried anything from the new Eylure collection?
