Autumn Blushers.

It’s that time of year where I slowly and quietly pack away my perky coral blushers and reach for the more season-appropriate hues. I usually go for quite a dusty pink or a muted coral at this time of year, which is obvious from the above selection!

The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Mood Exposure (£28) is such a beautiful Autumn shade, in fact I only ever wear it throughout the cooler months (luckily that’s 98% of the year in Scotland). The beautiful cool pink is swirled with Mood Light Ambient Lighting Powder, so you really get a flawless finish and a flattering hint of colour with this. I love the shade, as there’s nothing else like this in my collection and it’s not something I would usually pick up in a store. Such a dreamy hue.

I had to include the Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Blusher in First Love (£30), a pricey number but one that seems to fill a void in my makeup collection. I love the gorgeous peachy shade of this, it’s quite a played down hue so it’s perfect for perking up winter skin. The two shades can be swirled together to create a fresh wash of colour, with just the right amount of shimmer. Something to put on your Christmas list, I would think…

I’ve become slightly obsessed with Illamasqua in recently months, and the Velvet Blush in Flirtatious (£18) is a little something that has caught my attention. The formula is exquisite, and the perfect peachy tones are just enough to create a flush that’s fit for winter. I love the creamy texture which turns to powder on the skin, it doesn’t budge and it’s really easy to get that natural-looking pop of colour.

Finally, I had to include a NARS number in here somewhere – these are my all-time favourite blushers for sure. I picked the NARS Blush in Gina (£22.50) as it’s just such a perky hue for this time of year – it’s a not-too-pink coral, meaning it tends to see more use now than during the summer months, but it is a lovely all-year round shade. Of course, being a NARS shade means it blends beautifully and lasts all day. Me love.
