Pantene Breakage Defence Range.

PANTENE BREAKAGE DEFENCE RANGE.

As you all know, I’m all for a good affordable haircare brand – I’m pretty low maintenance when it comes to my hair and I prefer to do as little to it as possible, so finding a good haircare range is key!

For reference, my hair is fine but damaged from colouring, which means it needs to be washed daily – a pain, but something I’m definitely used to now – but also cared for regularly with masks and treatments.
I’ve been trialling the Pantene Pro-V Breakage Defence Shampoo (£3.99) & Conditioner (£3.99), the Strengthening Intensive Conditioner (£4.49) and the Hair Strength Tonic (£6.99) – all of which smell divine and come in the prettiest packaging! Definite shower staples for that reason alone.

The brand aim to rid us of those bad hair days we all experience from time to time, using some noteworthy science to achieve ‘fresh from the salon’ hair every day. They’ve reformulated their shampoo range to include innovative new AntiOxidant Damage Blocker technology; this helps to target, capture and neutralise excess copper in your water, which can result in our hair becoming weakened over time, and generally looking dull and lifeless – something I’d like to avoid as much as possible.

This new Breakage Defence range incorporates the Anti-Oxidant Damage Blocker Technology and a new Strength Complex to help protect the core for strong hair from root to tip, so you can go through your daily hair rituals without the fear of hair breakage. As I wash my hair daily (I know, I really shouldn’t but it needs it!), I need a little somethin’ somethin’ to ensure my hair stays as glossy as possible.

I’ve been using the products for over a week now and I can already see a difference – I first noticed that my hair is a whole lot more bouncier, and that was just from using the shampoo and conditioner daily. It felt like I’d had a good blowdry, despite having only dried my hair naturally with a bit of salt spray spritzed through.

The mask is also a winner, I would say if you get one product – make it this, it leaves the hair feeling like new! After a long time of colouring my hair, it definitely needs a bit of TLC and this is the stuff for the job. One application every week or ten days has made me really see a difference in my fine, too-knotty locks.

I didn’t think I would get a huge amount of use from the Hair Strength Tonic, I thought it might be a bit heavy for my hair but in fact, it’s been a bit of a miracle worker. It smells incredible and really helps my hair to look healthy and super shiny – and it detangles like a dream! I just sweep a pump through damp hair and then comb through.

All in all, a lovely little range that I’ve already named my daily essentials – and they’re all available from Boots!

Will you be trying any of this lot?
