I have to admit that I do get stuck in a rut with my hair, often using the same products for months on end until they’re used up. My hair style is very ‘effortless’, which doesn’t really go with my too-soft locks, so I add a lot of texturising products to achieve body and volume!
I start by spritzing on the Sachajuan Leave In Conditioner (£22), my must have treatment for taming these locks! This stuff really helps my hair to feel swishy, and I means I can get the brush through without a problem. Or a tantrum. Its packed full of sea minerals and algae to ensure hair is looking its best, and my hair always looks so glossy with every use. I’m just finishing this bottle so I’ll be stocking up ASAP!
As for texture, I tend to apply a mix of the Philip Kingsley Maximiser (£22), which I adore, and the Kerastase Spray-A-Porter (£16.80), one of the best salt sprays I’ve ever come across. The Maximiser adds volume and body to my hair, making it feel super light and airy but also hugely texturised, and the salt spray adds a touch of grit and texture, promising lovely waves in my too-straight hair. I usually blowdry my hair a little or leave it to dry naturally – the combo means you can’t go wrong either way.
After drying and styling my hair, I scrunch in a little of the Bumble Pret-A-Powder (£21.50), everyone’s favourite hair powder for big, badass locks. This helps to add even more life to my waves, and it also keeps my fringe looking thick all day too. A must have!
Although it sounds like a long process, it takes just minutes and my always looks tousled and effortless.
Have you tried any of these?
