Maukilo Toys – Baufix Cruiser Construction Kit Review + $50 Gift Card

By combining Evan’s new love for building things and his old love for anything with wheels, I knew the Maukilo Baufix Cruiser Construction Kit would be a perfect idea for him. I have had the opportunity to work with Maukilo in the past and have always been impressed by the quality of their toys-buy once, play forever.

What fun to open the box and spill out 66 wooden pieces, including screws and connector cubes that will soon become a cruiser. Baufix construction sets, made in Germany, have been a favorite toy in Europe for many years. Besides the joy of assembling each piece, children develop fine motor skills and develop logical thinking. All parts and tools are built to withstand years of use and construction fun.

One of my biggest problems with products like this is that it has a lot of small pieces and I need a way to keep them all contained. Baufix thought of this and put all of the pieces inside of a large bag that zips closed and then it fits inside of the box that can be closed.

The idea book that comes with it is perfect for kids. It shows all of the pieces that are needed for each item so that you can pull them out and have them ready to put together.

Evan is only 3, so he needs help when building things with this set. I show him which pieces go on next and then help him tighten the screws. This is definitely a toy that he will be able to play with for many years.

This set is so much fun. He has new motorcycles that he can build and roll all over the place. It makes a perfect addition to his new workbench so that he has something else to build when out in the shop with Pop. This toy will allow him to use his imagination for many years and we can add to it by purchasing additional Baufix sets.
