If you’re a parent that has ever gone through the potty training process, you can rejoice with me that my baby is now peeing on the potty! We have been sitting her on the potty almost every night before bathtime, but she wants to get down and refused to go. She finally peed in the potty on Saturday night! I was completely prepared for that to be a one time thing, but she has really taken off. (I really hate posts without pictures, so here’s a random beach shot of her)
About 30 minutes later she was showing interest in the potty and went again! I asked her if she had to go potty as soon as she woke up yesterday morning and she did. We ran a ton of errands so we peed in every public potty within 100 yards of us. I’m pretty sure that I took her to the potty no less than 15 times. The girls drinks so much and is always having to go. The best part is that she was the one telling me she had to go 75% of the time. She only had one “accident” all day and she also pooped in her diaper, but it took Evan forever to poop on the potty, so I’m OK with being patient about that.
We stocked up on big girl panties while we were out and she’ll be sporting these today! I could only find 2T-3T, so fingers crossed that they’re small enough to fit her(over a really thick pair of training undies).
On a side note, I was in the restroom and a woman kept using the word “urinate”. She kept talking to her daughter and saying things like, “I thought you had to urinate.” and “Are you done urinating?”. The child was maybe 3. I’d love to know what she says when the girl goes poo poo! I almost asked her. So, I’m curious, what do you call it when your child goes potty?
