Much to my delight, all of my children love to sit and flip through books with scientific information. It is amazing how much they remember and I have heard them spouting off random facts when any of the subjects come up. The Smithsonian and Silver Dolphin Books teamed up to bring these four interactive, fact-filled books and box sets. For ages 8 and over-
Smithsonian Discover: Flight and Smithsonian Discover: Space. These books come with fun and engaging activities such as paper airplanes to fold in Flight and glow-in-the-dark star and planet stickers in Space. Each title also includes a set of fact cards and a large fold-out poster. These deluxe, concealed spiral-bound, hardcovers are affordably priced at $16.95.

For ages 6 and over(My 2 and 5 year old adore them too!)-
Smithsonian Young Explorers: Dinosaurs and Smithsonian Young Explorers: Oceans. These amazing activity sets each contain a 32-page illustrated book, a poster and a 130 piece puzzle all in a case with handle ($18.95 each). Each set provides the ultimate introduction to the fascinating world of dinosaurs and oceans, including the cutest sea creatures, the smallest dinosaurs, the science of the ocean movement, how the mystery of the plates of the Stegosaurus was solved and everything in between!

These sets are packed full of information and engaging pictures. I don’t know many children(or adults!) that aren’t fascinated by all of these topics. What better way to have them learn about the world and the way it works than to have the Smithsonian come home to them!
