Daily Makeup Summer Edition.

Daily Makeup Summer Edition.

I’d like to say I don’t wear any makeup in summer, but my skin just ain’t clear enough to do that. My routine, however, is pretty stripped back; I skip foundation altogether, opt for only mascara and go for sheer dewy skin.

I start my applying the Erborian CC Creme HD (£16) which is my all time favourite product – it perfects my skin like no other. I tend to mix it with a little of the brilliant Clinique Super City Block (£18) because although the Erborian base is SPF45, I like to wear a separate SPF if I can. Both of these products do wonders for the complexion, leaving it looking healthy and even.

I then apply the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer (£22) to any problem areas such as my forehead and chin where I’m currently breaking out. This is creamy enough to blend in as my base, so I tend to just slick on a little over my face and blend. I love it as it stays put so well!

Next I dust on the Guerlain Meteorites Pearls (£35.50) – one of my favourite products for all year round application as they really even out the tone of skin, and give the complexion this gorgeous dewy glow. My makeup doesn’t budge once I’ve applied a light dusting, either so they’re a summer must have for me.

I use my trusty Clinique High Impact Waterproof Mascara (£17.50) on my lashes – I don’t like to skip out on mascara really as I do think it does a lot for my makeup overall. This doesn’t move in warm weather, even when I’m cycling around in the heat! It’s one of the best waterproof mascaras I’ve come across!

On my lips is my current favourite lipstick, the Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick in Coachella Coral (£23), the perfect coral with the perfect finish! This actually lasts so long on my lips, which is rare because I eat and drink often. The finish is so creamy and I actually feel like it nourishes my lips while it’s on.

After makeup I apply a good amount of the R+Co Rockaway Salt Spray (£23) to my hair and allow it to dry naturally for super easy waves with loads and loads of texture and volume. I adore this salt spray, and not just for the pretty bottle!

Lastly, I spritz on the new Clarins Sun Care Oil Spray (£15.20) which is a summer product I could not live without – it’s so easy to just spray it all over to protect the skin (SPF30 is perfect for Scotland and it’s so important to apply when I’m cycling) and it’s truly giving me such a great tan!

Do you have a summer routine in place?
